Вакансия R&D Engineer

This role supports AOP and PSP product innovation agenda fulfillment by leading and/or contributing to complex cross-functional or/and international projects aimed at the new product and technology development as well as leadership and accountability for juice renovation agenda in Ukraine/EER and collaboration with PepsiCo Global R&D team to achive successful results.

Tasks and responsibilities:

1. Agenda setting
Set together with R&D managers NPD and Renovation agenda for Ukraine/EER based on consumer data analysis in accordance with local AOP and PSP, regulatory requirements and business needs.

2. Projects leading
Lead AOP & PSP Innovation projects for Ukraine/EER and ensure full cycle of project execution from product development to in-plant production launch. Maintain cross-categories coordination within R&D team to assure each project is guaranteed to have specific technical support & compliance.

3. Product development and renovation
Maintain necessary development / reapplication work to achieve project objectives: together with product development managers develop / adapt product recipes followed by proper validation, select cost-effective raw materials available for specific market, assess technology capabilities and suggest technical solutions, run industrial trials, prepare product documentation according to local regulatory requirements. Lead renovation agenda for Ukraine/EER in accordance with the renovation roadmap and in close cooperation with PepsiCo Global R&D team.

4. Study and research
Collect and maintain data on juice products at Ukraine/EER markets: portfolio structure, product and consumer insight, raw materials sourcing, regulatory requirements. Organize necessary consumer and product researches, arrange sensory and laboratory analyses to support development process. Maintain in-depth study and sustainable knowledge of existing F&V products, designs and platforms for successful reapplication in other countries.

5. Reporting
Provide regular reports showing project status and progress; develop technical reports related to the projects: industrial trials, product validation, shelf-life testing, etc. Learns businesses basics and applies them

6. Internal and external communication and interfaces
Establish business cross-functional relationships within the Company to get timely support required to achieve goals, maintain regular cooperation within PepsiCo Global R&D network to exchange best practices and experience. Build effective relationships with external interfaces: suppliers, research institutes, etc., to deliver best possible product solutions.

7. Budget
Prepare and align projects related part of R&D budget. Ensure timely budget execution as per amount approved and in accordance with local legislation and PepsiCo polices.

Basic requirements for the position:

• Education - higher degree (science / technical / food technology)
• Work experience – at least 4 years in food production / product research and development
• Results-oriented, proactive self-starter, able to work on own initiative and as a team player
• Excellent time-management and organization skills
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills, influencing and involvement
• English – Upper Intermediate
