Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 4+ years of experience of Object-Oriented design and development in C++
• Expertise in development in large code bases
• Strong development experience in at least one of Windows or Macintosh OS platforms
• Demonstrated ability to debug complex software systems
• Experience programming real-time, multi-threaded applications is highly desired
• Ability to work in a multi-site distributed team and on a cross-platform development environment
• Highly motivated and energetic team member
• Strong written and spoken English communication is a must

Preferences

• Multimedia or video expertise is highly desired
• Video codecs knowledge is a great plus
• OpenGL or GPU processing experience
• Agile development process experience is a plus
• Python scripting experience

Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented, creative and enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer to join the team in Kiev.

In this position, you will be working within our Video Engine Team for features in our flagship Video Editing systems, enhancing performance and improving the user experience. Your focus will be on features within the video playback engine, high performance video processing and video codecs. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for contributing to task breakdowns, implementing features, debugging and maintaining C++ code running on the Windows 7 - Windows 10 and Mac OSX environments.

To join our high-performing team, you must have an in-depth understanding of software engineering and object-oriented design techniques, the proficiency to work on real-time and multi-threaded systems, the ability to create, debug, and maintain bulletproof C++ code, an eye for detail, extremely high standards with respect to software quality and reliability, and a passion for media related product development.
