Under the supervision of the Senior Assessment Officer the incumbent is responsible for supporting the REACH team on field coordination, external relations and assessment activities.
FUNCTIONS
Overall operational coordination of the Mariupol office (30-35% Level of Effort)
- Coordinate overall office activities of the Mariupol Office
- Chair weekly base meetings and participate in weekly Area meetings
- Liaise regularly with the Area Coordinator, logistics, HR and finance teams to facilitate field FLAT procedures
- Coordinate and consolidate FLAT requirements for the Mariupol base for all ACTED and REACH programmes (e.g. movement planning; procurement requirements; payment requests…).
- Facilitate FLAT documentation flows with the Area and Capital office.
Coordination and representation of REACH in Southern Donetsk (65-70% LoE)
- Representation of REACH in implementing capacity building activities in the field
- Attend meetings on behalf of REACH with local authorities, NGOs and United Nations partners
- Present REACH assessment findings to Mariupol and other South Donetsk stakeholders
- Facilitate liaison with local and regional authorities with the implementation of the REACH capacity building programme
- Supporting overall planning and implementation of assessment activities
- Supporting REACH Assessment Team during data collection in terms of tracking, supervising enumerators (data collectors), etc.
- Follow up on FLAT requests for Mariupol data collection base
- Reporting on data collection activities as requested
- Any other activities as requested by the senior assessment officer
- Quality control of document translations
- Contribution to assessment and capacity building teams as requested
REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in social sciences, political sciences, law, research, data analysis or other relevant field.
- At least 2 years of previous experience in the humanitarian or development field with managerial, research, data collection and/or data processing and analysis functions
- Previous experience with international or local aid organizations desirable
- Experience in working with local government authorities desirable
- Previous experience in humanitarian sphere is desirable.
- Professional fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian (both oral and written).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Flexibility and desire to learn new tools.
- Attention to details.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to work under pressure and competing deadlines.
- Readiness to business trips.
