GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Trainee C Linux Engineer to join its Kyiv office.

It is one of the largest Tier 1 semiconductor and microcontroller vendors for automotive, industrial, home electronics and other industries worldwide. The Company is cooperating with world's biggest car manufacturers, providing them with the high-quality, cutting-edge, and comprehensive integrated cockpit and automotive computing platforms.

Team in GlobalLogic is providing a full cycle of the R&D services to the customer. The main responsibility is the bring-up of the newest versions of the Android OS on a customer-specific hardware, including system requirements analysis, new features development and bug-fixing, system integration and validation.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of C;
• Good knowledge of Linux, including experience in development on Linux;
• Intermediate spoken English.

Preferences

Experience in Linux kernel development;

Experience in Yocto Project;

Experience in development for Android-based systems and/or ARM-based platforms;

Experience in GIT/Gerrit.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a vendor-specific platform bring-up;
• Contribute to the debugging and bug-fixing of the Kernel related issues;
• Contribute to the development and bug-fixing of the Linux drivers;
• Contribute to the BSP development;
• Contribute to the migration to the new kernel versions;
• Contribute to the performance analysis and optimization of the existing system.
