Job Description

• Work with development team to shape the architecture, design, and implementations of new and existing systems to enhance their reliability, performance, efficiency, and scalability
• Ensure all key services are measured, monitored availability, latency, overall system health and raising alerts when needed.
• Automation of deployment and configuration processes.
• Develop reliability tools and frameworks for use by all engineers.
• On call support for critical systems and lead incident response and no-blame postmortem analysis and review.
• Drive efficiencies in systems and processes: capacity planning, configuration management, performance tuning, monitoring and root cause analysis.
• Do capacity planning and help teams anticipate and prepare for growth.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux system, experienced with managing cloud servers (e.g., EC2) is a plus
• Familiar with HTTP protocol and technical infrastructure of a common website: web servers, database, load balancer, etc.
• Experience with one of programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go and/or Lua script.
• Comfortable with scripting, able to write small programs to do various system tasks
• Pick up new technology or new concepts fast
• Candidate must possess at least Degree or Diploma in Computer Science / IT related.
• Able to communicate reasonably well in written and spoken English
• At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience
• Able to work independently as well as in collaborative mode with minimum supervision
• Willingness to learn and apply to ideas
• Good process management and excellent follow-through.
• Work productively even under pressure
• Possess good work ethic and attitude
