GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Installation / Configuration Test Engineer to join its Mykolaiv office.

Our client is world-leading provider of telecom equipment, solutions and services to mobile and fixed network operators and telecom providers all over the world. We are working on long-term program to build end-to-end solution for IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service).

Imagine yourself a company that requires data center capabilities for daily operations. Ultimately you are facing few challenges:

In the same time you obviously have concerns about giving away you essential data to the 3rd-party, and still want to be able to access and control your business applications.

Goal is to solve these problems in partnership with local Telcos by providing end-to-end sytem management solution designed specifically for IaaS. The solution makes end user able to define, order and provision in real time:

• Own data centers

• Virtual machines with required memory and processing power

• Virtual networks

• Applications installed on virtual machines

Our solution is being built based on existing system management products, 3rd-party products and new applications designed for IaaS.

Current GlobalLogic team includes 40+ engineers working on all of the components of solution to develop new features end-to-end.

Requirements

• BA, MS degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field
• 2+ years overall commercial experience in software quality assurance / testing / test automation
• Experience in installation / configuration testing is a plus
• Good knowledge of Linux, Openstack/KVM virtualization, bash-scripting
• Good knowledge in IP networking
• Good understanding of different testing types, levels and technics
• Understanding of Agile or iterative development lifecycles
• Understanding of performance, reliability, failover, high availability aspects of the system is a plus
• Experience in test automation with Java Core / JUnit / SOAP or REST is a plus
• Maven / Jenkins / Git / Gerrit / Eclipse experience is a plus
• Intermediate and above English (read / write / speak) for daily communication with team leads and subject matter experts

Responsibilities

• Perform infrastructure-related testing of the developed software that includes installation, upgrade, maintenance and tuning of the software on several different hardware configurations (standalone, high-available, geo-redundant)
• Perform functional software testing via manual test cases and different types of regression mechanisms
• Perform troubleshooting of found issues and create bug reports
• Tracking of the registered bugs: fix verification, documentation changes
• Installation and support of test environments (OpenStack, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Contribution to automation test framework with new automated functional tests
• Contribution during Technical Requirements review
• Creation of Test-Cases and Test-Suites based on Technical Requirements
