We're looking for a mobile engineer to join Vimeo and work on the infrastructure and services that power Vimeo Live and Livestream. It's a chance to step into a challenging and exciting role.   You'll get to improve reliability and scalability for live video, while working alongside brilliant and talented peers.

The work itself is varied and rewarding, covering the entire live video pipeline, from ingestion to delivery. You'll architect and build microservices, update CI and deployments, improve our eyes and ears, and ultimately move the needle on several fronts. Along the way, you'll dig deep into share-nothing architectures, distributed systems, API design, and the fast-moving world of video.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about iOS App development, developing amazing product and services, are quick learners and love to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

·Responsible for software designed for MEVO camera hardware and firmware

·Own application development from start to finish

·Drive the creation of high performance tools that combine scalability with user experience

·Write clean, cross-platform and well-documented code

·Work closely with our Design and Product teams to move projects from conception to launch, and further refine with each iteration

·Grow both technically and professionally in an awesome environment with tons of development opportunities to learn and do more

Requirements

·BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

·3+ years of iOS development experience

·Strong object-oriented programming and design skills

·Strong Objective-C or Swift knowledge

·Experience in multithreading and networking

·Ability to read and write technical documentation in English

Pluses

·C/C++ knowledge

·Experience in audio & video encoding/processing/streaming

·Experience in artificial intelligence and computer vision
